Lent at Bethany Lutheran 

We will have a Lenten Bible Study focusing on diving deeper into the Gospel of Luke. Join us at 7pm in the fellowship hall at Bethany Lutheran. We will have tea and decaf coffee. Take time this Lent to spend more time with the Word of God. 

We will have two midweek services during Lent. The first will be on March 19 at St. Paul's Lutheran in Burkittsville (our Shared Ministry Partner) at 7pm. This service will be a a Taizé inspired worship service. The second Midweek service will be on April 9 at Bethany Lutheran at 7pm. It will be after the 5:30pm dinner, which all are welcome to! This midweek service will use Holden Evening Prayer. 

On the fifth Sunday of March, March 30th, Bethany will join St. Paul's Lutheran in Burkittsville for a South Mountain Shared Ministry shared service. We will worship at 10:30am at the chapel at Mar-Lu-Ridge and be using the Of The Land and Season liturgy. We will not be worshipping at Bethany that morning. 

Holy Week is one of the most beautiful and spiritually meaningful in the life of the Church. For that week, we remember and hear the story of Jesus as he enter Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, shares the Last Supper with his disciples and setting an example of service, goes to the cross and dies, and then is resurrected on Easter morning. Maundy Thursday: 7:00pm Bethany Lutheran

Good Friday: 7:00pm St. Paul's Lutheran in Burkittsville

Easter Morning: 9:45am at Bethany Lutheran
